This week saw us take delivery and install the block and beam flooring to blocks 1,2 and 3 with the use of a 35 ton crane. Next week we can build the perimeter block and lay the gas dpm and insulation ready to pour the concrete slabs. Keep your fingers crossed for no rain!

 

 

This week saw us complete the internal drainage and pop ups to Block 1 ready for the installation of the block and beam next week. On block 2 we laid block work to under side of the block and beam. Next week we will install the drainage and the block and beam. 

The foundations to each of the 3 blocks have been completed this week. The crane on site was to lift in the pre-cast concrete beams which are sat onto piles which are driven 7 meters into the ground. Block work had started on the large block (Block 1) on Monday 28^th January 2013 and will be underway over the coming week on the 2 smaller blocks. Internal drainage and service ducts will be the next operation to be completed within the foundations, which will then allow the ground-floor slabs to be laid. Main drainage will also start over the next couple of weeks within the area that will form the access road into the development. Fortunately the snow over the last few weeks has not had too bad an impact on the works and hopefully the cold weather has finally gone.
